NetPilot LLC ("NetPilot", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services at netpilot.io.

2. Information We Collect

Personal Information

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you:

• Create an account
• Subscribe to our services
• Contact us for support
• Sign up for our newsletter

This information may include your name, email address, company name, and payment information.

Usage Information

We automatically collect certain information when you use our services, including IP address, browser type, device information, and usage patterns through cookies and similar technologies.

Lab and Design Content

When you use the service we store the content you create in it: chat sessions with the NetPilot agent, topology designs, generated device configurations, files you upload (including device images you bring), and the state of your lab virtual machine.

Requests from AI Assistants

When you connect NetPilot to a third-party AI assistant (for example ChatGPT, Claude or Meta Muse), we receive the requests that assistant sends to NetPilot's tools, such as a topology description or a device command, together with your NetPilot account identifier, and we return the results to that assistant. We do not receive the rest of your conversation with the assistant. The assistant provider's own privacy policy governs what it stores.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services
• Process transactions and send related information
• Send you technical notices, updates, and support messages
• Respond to your comments and questions
• Analyze usage patterns to improve user experience
• Protect against fraudulent or illegal activity

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

• Service providers who assist in operating our services: cloud hosting, payment processing, authentication, email delivery, customer support, analytics and error monitoring
• AI assistant providers you connect to NetPilot, who receive the results of the requests their assistant sends on your behalf
• Professional advisors (lawyers, accountants)
• Law enforcement when required by law
• Business partners with your consent

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as needed for the purposes above:

• Account information, chat sessions, topology designs and configurations: for the life of your account, and deleted when you delete them in the service or close your account
• Lab virtual machines: a stopped lab VM is kept for 14 days on Pro and Team and for the life of your account on Max and Signature, then deleted. The one-time free trial lab VM is deleted when the trial ends
• Uploaded device images: until you delete them or close your account
• Support correspondence, including attachments: while your account exists, and deleted on request
• Billing records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires
• Requests from AI assistants: processed to run the requested tool and not stored as such. What they create (designs, configurations, lab state) is kept as described above, and the access log entry falls under server logs
• Server logs and error reports: up to 90 days
• Product analytics tied to your account: for the life of your account, and deleted when you close it or on request

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access your personal information
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent

To exercise these rights, email us at the address in the Contact Us section. You can also delete labs, sessions and uploaded images from within the service, and you can disconnect a connected AI assistant at any time from that assistant's own settings, which ends its access to your NetPilot account.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect and track information and to improve our services. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
